मुरादाबाद निवासी कैप्टन अखिलेश सक्सेना ने कारगिल युद्ध में अदम्य साहस का परिचय दिया था। तीन गोली लगने के बाद भी वह दुश्मनों से लड़ते रहे। युद्ध के दौरान सक्सेना ने तीन महत्वपूर्ण टुकड़ियों का नेतृत्व किया था।
